Bio

Melissa Mahan, Ph.D., is UTSA’s Associate Vice Provost of Extended Education in the Division of Academic Innovation. With more than 25 years of experience in higher education and corporate business, she oversees UTSA’s workforce programs, professional and continuing education initiatives, and Downtown Campus special events, including the Buena Vista Theater. Mahan previously held leadership roles at Texas A&M University-San Antonio, Northeastern State University, and the National Clearinghouse for Commuter Programs. A dedicated education leader and active contributor to national and local organizations, Mahan brings her expertise and passion for innovation to advancing UTSA’s mission of community engagement and workforce development.
